  • Upon arrival to Bali, remember this is a Tropical Paradise so take care whilst in the midday sun. Protect yourself from the intense tropical sun. Use of sun block, skin protection creams, sunglasses and a hat will help.
  • It is the south of Bali that is the real tourist spots: the areas of Kuta, Tuban, Legian and Seminyak. Kuta has an incredible concentration of shops and services, as well as Bali's most famous Kuta beach.
  • Cellular Services
Indonesia applies GSM (Global Services for Mobiles). You can purchase prepaid calling cards. Major Service Providers are Telkomsel, Satelindo, Pro XL and Indosat. Look for outlet signs or banners with product variants and brand markings.
  • Natural Disasters
Bali, Indonesia's top tourism gateway remains 100% unaffected by several recent earthquakes on Sumatra Island and the massive December 26th tsunami which affected several countries on the Indian Ocean beach-line, including Aceh. Geographic misconception is causing travelers to reconsider visiting Indonesia. To view a map of Indonesia click here
  • Currency
Local currency is Indonesian Rupiah. Most of hotels have a bank and a licensed money changer available for exchange of major foreign currencies to Indonesian Rupiah only.
  • Driving in Bali
Requires International driving license, in Bali we drive on the left hand side.
